Sofia Sada, CEC, MEd, PCIII is a Mexican-Spanish chef born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and now proudly American. Her culinary roots run deep, influenced by a father from Oaxaca and Mexico City and a family of exceptional home cooks and published authors. Cooking has shaped her identity for generations. She trained in Michelin-starred restaurants alongside renowned chefs, refining her technique and creative voice. During culinary school and restaurant work, she developed a strong passion for butchery, training with leading meat butchers in Mexico. Chef Sada is a professor of Latin Cuisines at The Culinary Institute of America in San Antonio. She holds a Master’s in Culinary Arts and is completing a Master of Professional Studies in Food Business, focusing on leadership, sustainability, and cultural food systems. As a UNESCO Chef Ambassador, she advances and preserves Latin American culinary traditions. (San Antonio, TX)
